“So boss, I was thinkin’-” Mr. Fredrickson cut him off,
“Don’t think Smith. It only wears you down for important things.” Kevin was astonished. Mr. Fredrickson always wanted a way to make more money, and now that sales are lower than average, Kevin thought Mr. Fredrickson would want ideas.
So he refuted, “But sir, I feel that we could raise profits if we-”
“Smith, I said stop thinking!” commanded Mr. Fredrickson.
“Sir, sales are down and we need to think of more marketi-”
“Smith!” Mr. Fredrickson was furious now. His nostrils flared and there was fire in his eyes. The elevator door opened with a DING and Kevin stepped out.
“Smith. I want to see you in my office before your lunch break.” Mr. Fredrickson said as Kevin rushed down the hall towards his office. Kevin didn’t work well that morning. He spent too much time feared of what his boss would do to him. If the rumors were true, he would face something far worse than being fired by any regular boss. He wondered how Mr. Fredrickson got rid who ever he banished. Most of all, Kevin didn’t want to be banished to another time; he liked the time he lived in.
